Department Introduction
Established in 1994, the graduate program of Sociology at Kyung Hee University offers a Master’s and a Ph.D. program. As of 2013, there are 13 students enrolled in the Master’s program and 5 students in the Ph.D. program. The program is strongly committed to education and research in the broad range of sociological inquiry, providing a wide range of sociological sub-fields including social psychology, information society, organizations, culture, science and methodology, and religion. This program has a strong emphasis on social research training. Eventually, the program prepares students for professional careers in the field of social research and policy and other related fields.

| 의료사회학 | 질병의 사회적 발생요인과 죽음에 대한 사회학적 의미를 규명하고 의료전달 행위와 그 조직을 사회학적 관점에서 접근한다. |
| 조직사회학 | 사회조직에 대한 고전적 이론에서부터 현대 환경모델 및 현상학적 이론에 이르는 대표적 조직 이론들을 고찰한다. |
| 종교사회학 | 종교에 대한 사회학적 기초이론을 이해하고 종교와 사회변동, 종교와 사회통합 및 갈등, 세속화, 종교조직 등을 비롯하여 정치, 경제, 사회계층의 사회현상과 종교의 관계 및 상호작용에 대해 연구한다. |
